GLENSIDE - A 21-point advantage in the second half lifted the Arcadia University men's basketball team to a 75-55 victory over Gwynedd Mercy in the Battle of 309 from Alumni Gymnasium on Wednesday evening.

-Arcadia improved to 2-0 with the win.

-Gwynedd Mercy fell to 2-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights held a 12-11 lead with just over 13 minutes until halftime before a 9-0 run put them ahead 21-11 just about halfway through the first.

-The Griffins closed the half with a 19-8 stretch as Arcadia trailed 30-29 going into the break.

-The Knights gained a 38-36 lead with over five minutes gone in the second, but a 28-5 explosion gave Arcadia a 25-point lead with just over five minutes to play.

-Gwynedd Mercy got the lead down to 16 as the Knights cruised to the victory.
