GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's volleyball team concluded its 2025 season with a 3-1 victory over King's College on Wednesday evening inside Alumni Gymnasium. The Knights (14-14, 3-4 MAC Freedom) earned the win by set scores of 27-25, 25-19, 18-25, and 25-22.
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE: Arcadia 27 – King's 25
• After an opening kill from Kylie Strange, King's took an early 7-2 lead.
• A 6-1 Arcadia run that included two kills from Chana Rothschild, three from Devon Young, and an ace by Alliy Kulas brought the Knights ahead 12-11.
• The teams traded points before a brief Monarchs surge gave King's a 22-20 lead.
• Out of a timeout, the Knights responded with two kills from Young and a block assist from Strange and Young to move ahead 23-22.
• After King's extended the set with two late points, three straight Monarch errors secured the opening frame for Arcadia.
SET TWO: Arcadia 25 – King's 19
• King's opened the set with a kill and ace, but Arcadia responded with a dominant 7-0 run fueled by kills from Young, Strange, and two from Kulas.
• Another 6-0 run extended the Knights' lead to 14-5.
• Kills from Callie McGuire and Strange, along with a block by Juliana Bockhaus and Rothschild, helped Arcadia maintain control.
• King's attempted to rally late, but McGuire closed the set with back-to-back kills to give Arcadia a 2-0 match lead.
SET THREE: King's 25 – Arcadia 18
• Young and Strange opened the set with kills before King's rattled off seven straight points.
• Arcadia trimmed the deficit to 14-13 thanks to kills from Rothschild, Corazo, Lloyd, and Young.
• However, the Monarchs responded with a 7-1 run to pull away and take the set.
SET FOUR: Arcadia 25 – King's 22
• A kill from Young, an ace from Strange, and a solo block from Corazo pushed Arcadia ahead early.
• Rothschild sparked momentum with three kills, and Kulas added another to help the Knights build a 9-4 advantage.
• Young, Rothschild, Corazo, and Kulas continued the offensive pressure, while a Rothschild solo block made it 20-17.
• After King's pulled within one, Young delivered the final three kills of the night before a Monarch attack error sealed the match for the Knights.
