CARLISLE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team returned to action on the road Friday, competing in a non-conference dual meet at Dickinson College. The Knights (0-5, 0-4 MAC) fell to the host Red Devils 141-59. Mikayla Scardino led Arcadia with two individual victories, taking first in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mikayla Scardino claimed the 50-yard freestyle in 25.39 and followed with a win in the 100-yard freestyle at 55.67.
• Ava Despeaux placed second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:20.31 and added a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle at 59.74.
• Rylie Pellegrino competed in the 200-yard IM (2:40.25) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:21.90).
• Maggie Dent swam a 6:10.03 in the 500-yard freestyle and a 1:24.31 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
• Brooke Boyd took third in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:10.28 and also swam in both the 400-yard freestyle relay (lead-off) and the 200-yard medley relay (third leg).
• Gabby Schultz finished the 1000-yard freestyle in 12:18.92 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:07.67.
• Lily Stauffer led off the 200-yard medley relay and swam the 100-yard backstroke in 1:13.39.
• Kylie Perry finished close behind Stauffer in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:13.70 and competed in the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.75).
• Kiera Krebs (2:12.86) and Sam Ehrhart (2:26.03) also competed in the 200-yard freestyle. Krebs additionally participated in both the 400-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relays.
• Jenna Carr swam the 1000-yard freestyle (13:37.21), the 100-yard freestyle (1:06.35), and anchored the 400-yard freestyle relay.
• Maddie Farrelly placed third in the 500-yard freestyle at 6:03.43 and also competed in two relays.
• Audrey Haydu recorded a 26.60 in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing just ahead of Juliane Heller (28.45). Heller also swam the 100-yard freestyle (1:03.99).
UP NEXT
The Knights return home tomorrow for a dual meet against Bryn Mawr College. Competition is set to begin at 12 p.m.
