KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swim team returned to action on Saturday afternoon, competing in a tri-meet against Division II Kutztown University and Kean University. The Knights (0-8, 0-4 MAC) fell to the host Golden Bears, 188–65, and to Kean, 189–69. Arcadia was led by Mikayla Scardino, who recorded a pair of third-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and 50-yard freestyle. The Knights also earned fourth-place finishes in both the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 200-yard medley relay, Mikayla Scardino, Juliane Heller, Ava Despeaux, and Audrey Haydu finished fourth at 1:56.90. The team of Lily Stauffer, Jenna Carr, Kiera Krebs, and Sophia Randle placed fifth at 2:10.10.
• Gabby Schultz finished fifth in the 1000-yard freestyle at 12:05.18, while Rylie Pellegrino was sixth at 12:39.14.
• Scardino earned her first third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:02.20. Brooke Boyd placed sixth at 2:05.40, Haydu finished eighth at 2:08.79, and Maddie Farrelly touched 10th at 2:19.95.
• In the 100-yard backstroke, Kayleigh Kennedy led Arcadia with a sixth-place finish at 1:10.95. Kylie Perry placed eighth at 1:12.29, and Stauffer took ninth at 1:14.54.
• In the 100-yard breaststroke, Heller finished fourth at 1:14.96. Pellegrino followed in fifth at 1:20.53, and Carr placed seventh at 1:26.15.
• Maggie Dent finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:50.61.
• Scardino secured her second third-place finish of the meet in the 50-yard freestyle at 25.18. Krebs finished eighth at 27.72, Sam Ehrhart placed ninth at 28.08, and Stauffer finished 10th at 31.12.
• In the 100-yard freestyle, Haydu led the Knights with a sixth-place finish at 58.86. Krebs placed eighth at 1:00.78, and Farrelly took ninth at 1:05.28.
• Schultz was the top Arcadia finisher in the 200-yard backstroke, placing sixth at 2:23.31. Randle followed in eighth at 2:32.73, and Dent finished ninth at 2:36.54.
• In the 200-yard breaststroke, Heller finished fifth with a time of 2:46.49. Carr followed in sixth at 3:09.96.
• Perry earned a fourth-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:57.97. Ehrhart placed sixth at 6:34.39.
• In the 100-yard butterfly, Despeaux finished fifth at 1:02.90. Boyd placed eighth at 1:07.64, and Kennedy finished ninth at 1:08.67.
• Randle led Arcadia in the 200-yard IM with a sixth-place finish at 2:36.09. Heller followed in seventh at 2:37.70, and Dent finished eighth at 2:45.55.
• In the final event, the 400-yard freestyle relay, the team of Haydu, Boyd, Schultz, and Scardino placed fourth at 3:54.36. The team of Farrelly, Krebs, Perry, and Pellegrino finished sixth at 4:14.05.

This meet marked the final competition of the first semester. The Knights return home on Friday, January 9 for a conference dual with Stevenson.
