GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team fell by a 3-0 final (20-25, 23-25, 18-25) to Rutgers-Newark in non-conference play inside Alumni Gymnasium on Thursday evening.

-Arcadia fell to 4-6.
-Rutgers-Newark improved to 5-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE: RUTGERS-NEWARK 25, ARCADIA 20
-Both team began the match with identical three-point streaks.
-The Knights trailed 16-14 when Rutgers-Newark took five-straight to go up 21-14.
-Arcadia battled to cut it to 24-20 but the Scarlet Raiders took set one.
SET TWO: RUTGERS-NEWARK 25, ARCADIA 23
-The Knights jumped out to a 4-1 lead.
-With Arcadia up 7-4, Rutgers-Newark took four straight points to take an 8-7 advantage.
-The Knights held a 19-18 lead, but the Scarlet Raiders earned six of the next 10 points to take a two sets to zero lead.
SET THREE: RUTGERS-NEWARK 25, ARCADIA 18
-Arcadia faced an 11-10 deficit before Rutgers-Newark used a 6-0 run to jump ahead 17-10.
-The Knights were unable to overcome the gap and fell in the match.
