CHESTER, Pa – The Arcadia University men's outdoor track and field team finished fifth of 21 teams at the Purple and Gold Opener hosted by West Chester University on Friday and Saturday.
The Knights broke two program records and recorded eight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship qualifying performances.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jey Brown broke two personal and program records with his fifth-place shot put (13.13m) and fourth-place discus throw (36.98m) performances. He qualified for MACs in both events.

Jaden Abreu finished fifth in the triple jump with a personal record (PR) and MAC qualifying distance of 11.96m. He also competed in long jump (5.56m).

Ryan Anderson recorded a career best 200m time of 24.07.

Micah Bullock earned a personal best time of 11.55 in the 100m. He also competed in the 200m (23.33).

Miles Daniels recorded two PRs and qualifying performances in the 100m (11.38) and the triple jump (12.70m). He finished third in the triple jump.

Jorden Jones had his collegiate debut in the high jump with a height of 1.75m.

Aaron Lemons Jr. earned career bests in discus throw (26.79m) and hammer throw (32.37m). He also competed in the shot put (10.56m). Lemons qualified for MACs in the hammer throw.

Matthew Schutz finished second in pole vault with a MAC qualifying height of 3.90m.

Keaghan Cote met MAC qualifying standards in the hammer throw with a distance of 32.24m.
- The 4x100m relay squad of Anderson,
Bryan Carroll, Daniels, Bullock finished second overall with a time of 43.51.
- The 4x400m relay of
Redjee Nonez, Anderson,
Ramses Valera, and
Wesley Castelli recorded a time of 3:29.94 for a second-place finish.
