CHESTER, Pa – The Arcadia University women's outdoor track and field team finished fourth of 21 teams at the Purple and Gold Opener hosted by West Chester University on Friday and Saturday.
The Knights broke three program records and 10 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship qualifying performances.

HOW IT HAPPENED

MaKenna Fick broke the hammer throw program record with a MAC qualifying distance of 35.90m.

Donya Baxter broke two school records in the shot put (11.71m) and discus throw (35.78m). Both were third place finishes and MAC qualifying distances.

Delaney McGarry, Jones,
Addison Altoft finished first overall with a time of 4:32.88.

Destiny Barnett recorded a personal record (PR) in the 100m with a time of 13.95.

April Browne ran the 1500m in 5:11.24 for a new career best time.

Jackie Engler earned two personal best times in the 200m (29.77) and 400m (1:04.82).

Mia Fleming earned a PR in the 200m (29.38) and finished sixth overall in the long jump (4.74m). She qualified for MACs in long jump.

Ella Henritzy recorded three career bests in the shot put (10.44m), discus throw (27.22m) and the hammer throw (27.47m). Both the hammer and shot put distances met MAC qualifying standards.

Madison Hersey had her collegiate debut in the javelin throw with a distance of 24.75m.

Emma Mae Jones set a new PR in high jump with a height of 1.37m. She also competed in the 200m (28.26).

Karissa Kujawa earned a career best discus throw distance of 26.62m. She also qualified in the hammer throw with a distance of 28.51m.

Seanna Robinson threw a MAC qualifying distance of 21.83m in the hammer throw for a PR. She also recorded a distance of 9.45m in the shot put event.

Olivia Schott earned a PR in the 800m (2:34.15), and competed in long jump (4.56m) and triple jump (9.53m). Her triple jump performance qualified her for MACs.

Delaney McGarry met MAC qualifying standards in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:15.28.
