GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team defeated Widener 3-2 (25-20, 22-24, 25-25, 19-15, 15-11) on Wednesday night in its first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET ONE: ARCADIA 25, WIDENER 20
-Arcadia took the first point of the set on a service error.
-Widener pulled away with a four point lead.
-The Knights tied the set at 16 with a kill by Mike Carr.
-Arcadia scored five out of the last seven points and took set one.
SET TWO: ARCADIA 22, WIDENER 25
-The Pride took an early lead to start this set.
-The Knights came within three in the middle of the frame.
-Arcadia mounted a comeback, Widener closed out the set tied the match at one.
SET THREE: ARCADIA 25, WIDENER 15
-Arcadia's Danny Gonzalez started strong for the Knights making a kill and taking the lead.
-The Knights pulled ahead on errors from Widener and timely hits from Clendening and Gonzalez.
-Arcadia maintained its lead and took a 2-1 lead.
SET FOUR: ARCADIA 19, WIDENER 25
-The Knights and the Pride traded points early and tied the set at two.
-A kill from Reece Dodd gave Arcadia the lead at six.
-Widener took the lead in the middle of the set.
-The Knights tried to close the gap, but the Pride holds off Arcadia.
SET FIVE: ARCADIA 15, WIDENER 11
-Arcadia had a 6-2 lead to start this set.
-The Pride closed its gap by two, but the Knights had other plans.
-A kill by Tucker Elicio secured the win for Arcadia.
