GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University softball team battled but fell in both ends of its non-conference doubleheader with Messiah, falling 9-1 in five innings and 1-0 from Blankley Field on Wednesday.

-Messiah improved to 18-6.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 1, MESSIAH 9 (F/5)
-Messiah opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the second.
-The Knights responded in the bottom half when
Stephanie Binek singled to right scoring
Alexa Kozarski.
-The Falcons broke the game open in the fourth with seven runs.

-Messiah scored its lone run on back-to-back defensive miscues for the Knights and a swinging bunt.
-Arcadia got a runner to second when
Kyleigh Mihalik led off the seventh with a double but the Knights were unable to get her in.

Mac Champion was fantastic, allowing the one run on four hits in a complete game effort.
