GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University softball team swept its non-conference doubleheader against Penn State Harrisburg at Blankley Field on Thursday afternoon, taking game one 3-2 before notching game two 7-2.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 12-20.
-Penn State Abington fell to 14-22.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 3, PSU ABINGTON 2
-Abington jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a run each in the first and third innings.
-
Stephanie Binek got the Knights on the board in the bottom of the third when she doubled to left scoring
Nathalia DiIanni.

Molly Delio tied the score in the fourth with a single to right the brought in
Alexa Kozarski.
-
Sydney Steiner brought in Kozarski with the winning run in the sixth with a double over the right fielders head.
-
Paige Nolan earned the win, allowing two runs (one earned) on nine hits in a complete game with one walk and five strikeouts.

-Abington again jumped in front with a run in the top of the first.
-DiIanni began the scoring for the Knights in the third with a triple to right that brought home Delio and
Grace Caldwell.
-Binek and
Dakota Fanelli notched RBI's and the Knights opened a 5-1 lead in the third.
-Abington cut the lead to 5-2 in the top of the fourth.

Sybella Demaio increased the lead to 6-2 in the fifth when she singled to center, bringing home Kozarski.
-DiIanni finished the scoring in the sixth with a double to right plating Caldwell.
-Fanelli earned the win in the circle, allowing two runs on six hits across four innings with one walk and four strikeouts.

Mac Champion earned the save with three scoreless innings, with one hit and four strikeouts.
