GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team returned to the pool at home on Saturday afternoon for a dual meet against Millersville University. The Knights (1-9, 1-4) fell to the Marauders by a score of 140–82, but picked up several individual and relay victories.
Mikayla Scardino and Ava Despeaux each claimed individual wins for Arcadia, while the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Audrey Haydu, Brooke Boyd, Kiera Krebs, and Scardino also finished first to close the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Scardino, Juliane Heller, Ava Despeaux, and Audrey Haydu finished second with a time of 1:57.97. The squad of Lily Stauffer, Rylie Pellegrino, Kiera Krebs, and Brooke Boyd placed fourth at 2:05.00, while Kylie Perry, Jenna Carr, Maggie Dent, and Sam Ehrhart finished fifth at 2:12.37.
• Gabby Schultz placed fourth in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:50.74, while Kayleigh Kennedy followed in fifth at 12:28.28.
• In the 100-yard backstroke, Sophia Randle finished third at 1:09.35, followed by Stauffer at 1:10.97 and Krebs at 1:13.97.
• Juliane Heller led the Knights in the 50-yard breaststroke with a third-place finish at 33.97. Pellegrino finished fifth at 36.98, and Carr followed at 37.88.
• Scardino earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.41, while Pellegrino finished fifth at 1:02.68.
• Schultz placed third in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:05.19, with Perry right behind in fourth at 2:13.75. Maddie Farrelly also competed, finishing at 2:16.56.
• In the 50-yard butterfly, Despeaux finished second at 28.69, Boyd placed third at 29.15, and Randle crossed the line at 30.60.
• Heller recorded another third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:14.46, while Carr and Ehrhart finished fifth and sixth, respectively.
• Despeaux captured first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.55.
• Scardino followed with another victory in the 50-yard freestyle, touching first at 25.45. Haydu finished third at 27.00, and Randle recorded a time of 28.61.
• In the 200-yard individual medley, Haydu placed second with a time of 2:31.95.
• Schultz finished second in the 50-yard backstroke at 30.86, while Stauffer placed fourth at 31.97 and Dent finished at 34.83.
• To close the meet, the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Haydu, Boyd, Krebs, and Scardino took first place with a time of 1:46.68. The relay of Ehrhart, Pellegrino, Heller, and Randle finished third at 1:52.65, while Carr, Farrelly, Kennedy, and Perry placed fourth at 1:56.20.
