BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Moravian University Blue and Grey Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, and delivered another strong showing. Five Knights recorded new personal bests, while four additional season-best marks were achieved during the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED – TRACK EVENTS
• In the 60-meter dash preliminaries, Naeem Evans posted a season-best time of 7.22 to qualify for the finals, then improved in the finals with a time of 7.18 to tie Micah Bullock. Bryan Carroll also advanced to the finals after clocking a 7.42 in the prelims and finished the finals at 7.44. Ryan Anderson just missed qualifying for the finals after finishing the preliminaries with a time of 7.48.
• In the 200 meters, Bullock captured first place with a time of 22.63. Anderson followed in sixth place at 23.67, with Evans close behind in seventh at 23.68. Carroll finished 12th at 24.42, while Jaden Abreu crossed the line at 25.05.
• Wesley Castelli placed second in the 400 meters, finishing with a time of 54.12.
• In the 800 meters, Dylan Chauhan led the Knights with a personal-best time of 2:05.49, while Landon Gentile-Adamson finished at 2:12.25.
• Brendan Blyth recorded a personal-best and program record time of 8:54.51 in the 3,000 meters to finish 11th overall. Jacob Covage also set a new personal record at 9:00.59, while Ben Williamson crossed the line at 9:18.32.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FIELD EVENTS
• Taeshaun Johnson placed sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.63 meters.
• In the long jump, Matthew Schutz recorded a personal-best mark of 6.19 meters.
• Schutz followed up with a season-best clearance of 4.10 meters in the pole vault, winning the event.
• In the shot put, Aaron Lemons Jr. led Arcadia with a personal-best throw of 11.31 meters. Keaghan Cote followed at 10.56 meters, while Dee Fennimore and Tyler Rooney recorded marks of 7.83 meters and 7.81 meters, respectively.
• Two Knights competed in the triple jump, with Johnson winning the event at 13.65 meters. Abreu recorded a season-best mark of 11.96 meters.
• In the weight throw, Lemons placed seventh overall with a throw of 12.67 meters and also broke the school record, while Cote posted a best mark of 11.08 meters.
