BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's indoor track and field team competed at the Moravian University Blue and Grey Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday, and turned in another strong performance. Seven Knights recorded new personal bests, while one season-best mark was also achieved on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED – TRACK EVENTS
• In the 60-meter dash preliminaries, Sadie Nugent qualified for the finals with a third-place finish and a time of 8.03 before placing second overall in the finals at 8.06. Julia Kronimus advanced to the finals after posting a personal-best time of 8.32 in the prelims and finished the finals at 8.39. Paige Agnew also recorded a new personal best, finishing ninth in the preliminaries with a time of 8.56.
• Marissa Dougher competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing the preliminary round with a time of 10.82.
• In the 200 meters, Kronimus finished sixth overall with a time of 28.47, while Agnew followed closely behind in eighth place at 29.16.
• Three Knights finished consecutively in the 400 meters, led by Madeline Clauson in fourth place with a time of 1:08.74. Jhane Owens placed fifth at 1:13.52, followed by Sarah Agnew in sixth at 1:14.01.
• Grace Curnow captured a first-place finish in the 800 meters, crossing the line at 2:26.42. Jackie Engler placed fourth with a time of 2:32.46, Bridget Jacobson finished 10th at 2:47.77, and Gianna Sube recorded a season-best time of 2:48.63.
• In the mile run, Maren Weaver posted a personal-best time of 5:38.46 to finish fourth, while Maggie Mead also set a new personal record at 6:45.17.
• Tia Leister recorded a personal-best time of 11:25.29 in the 3,000 meters, while Taylor Huckzo crossed the line at 13:12.97.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FIELD EVENTS
• Sarah Agnew finished second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.28 meters.
• Nugent competed in the long jump and recorded a best mark of 4.93 meters.
• In the shot put, Donya Baxter placed second with a top throw of 11.82 meters, while Seanna Robinson followed closely in third at 10.98 meters. Amma Osei posted a personal-best mark of 8.67 meters, Faith Perry recorded a throw of 8.20 meters, and Karissa Kujawa finished with a mark of 7.09 meters.
