Men's Volleyball Battles No. 8 NYU

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University men's volleyball team put forth a strong showing, battling No. 8 New York University on Friday evening inside Alumni Gymnasium, falling 3-1 (23-25, 26-28, 25-23, 18-25) in non-conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

SET 1: ARCADIA 23, NYU 25
-Neither team held more than a two-point lead throughout the set.

-Arcadia held a 17-15 lead before three straight points put NYU ahead.

-Tied at 20, the Violets notched two straight points before each team traded points until the end of the set.

SET 2: ARCADIA 26, NYU 28
-Tied at four, NYU took three straight points.

-Trailing 8-5, the Knights returned the favor with a three-point streak.

-NYU took three straight points to break a 17 all tie.

-Arcadia faced a 21-18 deficit before taking four points in a row to grab a 22-21 lead.

-The Violets took the set with two straight points after the score was knotted at 26.

SET 3: ARCADIA 25, NYU 23
-The Knights held a 15-13 lead before a 4-0 run put NYU ahead 17-15.

-The score was tied at 20 before two straight put Arcadia back in front.

-The two teams matched points the remainder of the set as the Knights took the win.

-At 13 all the Violets took five-straight points.

-NYU took three straight to make the score 22-15 before putting the match away.
