Women Indoor Track and Field Turn in Strong Showing at Coach I Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's indoor track and field team competed at the Coach I Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College, on Saturday and turned in another strong performance. Emma Mae Jones highlighted the day by qualifying for the MAC Championships in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.38, setting a new personal record in the process. The Knights also recorded personal bests from Madeline Clauson and Amma Osei, along with a season-best performance from Paige Agnew.

HOW IT HAPPENED – TRACK EVENTS

Sadie Nugent qualified for the 60-meter finals after posting a preliminaries time of 8.01. Jones finished the prelims with a personal-best 8.38 to secure her MAC qualifying mark. Agnew ran an 8.57, Julia Kronimus clocked an 8.58, and Clauson set a new personal record at 8.79. Nugent went on to place third in the finals with a time of 7.94.
Marissa Dougher competed in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing the preliminaries in 10.87.
• In the 200 meters, Nugent led the Knights with a fourth-place finish at 26.79. Kronimus ran a 28.12, Jones finished in 28.17, Agnew posted a season-best 28.74, and Clauson crossed the line in 29.73.
Emmy Brown Varon competed in the mile run, finishing 39th with a time of 6:22.65.

HOW IT HAPPENED – FIELD EVENTS

• Nugent placed 19th in the long jump with a best mark of 4.65 meters.
• Dougher recorded a best clearance of 2.28 meters in the pole vault.
• In the shot put, Amma Osei led Arcadia with a personal-record throw of 8.87 meters. Faith Perry followed with a mark of 8.08 meters, while Karissa Kujawa recorded a throw of 7.48 meters.
Seanna Robinson led the Knights in the weight throw with a best of 11.89 meters. Kujawa followed at 11.25 meters, and Perry posted a mark of 10.66 meters.

UP NEXT

The Knights will continue the indoor season next weekend when they travel to Alvernia on Saturday.
