STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Arcadia University men's indoor track and field team opened the new year by competing at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational on Saturday. The Knights turned in several strong performances, highlighted by four student-athletes qualifying for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships.
Brendan Blyth qualified in the mile, Micah Bullock and Naeem Evans earned qualifying marks in the 60-meter dash, and Aaron Lemons secured qualification in the weight throw.
HOW IT HAPPENED – Track Events
• In the 60-meter dash, Micah Bullock finished 17th overall with a time of 7.16 to qualify for the MAC Championships. Naeem Evans also posted a qualifying performance, finishing 32nd at 7.27, while Jaden Abreu competed with a time of 7.57.
• Brendan Blyth recorded a runner-up finish in the mile, crossing the line in 4:30.09 to earn MAC qualification. Jacob Covage placed seventh with a time of 4:34.16, Ben Williamson finished 17th at 4:42.39, and Landon Gentile-Adamson clocked 4:52.68.
• In the 400-meter dash, Wesley Castelli led the Knights with a time of 52.79. Matthew Schutz followed at 53.27, Dylan Chauhan finished in 55.76, and Ryan Anderson posted a time of 1:02.40.
• Castelli also paced Arcadia in the 200-meter dash, finishing in 23.45. Anderson followed closely at 23.52, Evans recorded a time of 23.58, and Schutz completed the event at 24.19.
HOW IT HAPPENED – Field Events
• In the shot put, Keaghan Cote led the Knights with a throw of 10.35 meters. Aaron Lemons followed at 10.00 meters, Dee Fennimore recorded 8.12 meters, and Tyler Rooney posted a mark of 6.80 meters.
• Lemons earned MAC qualification in the weight throw with a mark of 12.10 meters, while Cote finished just behind at 11.70 meters.
• Jaden Abreu was Arcadia's lone competitor in the long jump, finishing with a best mark of 5.59 meters.

The Knights return to action next weekend when they travel to Lehigh University for competition on Saturday.
