UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's indoor track and field team competed Friday evening at the Penn State Tune-Up inside Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track, posting several strong efforts against a competitive field as well as setting a new school record as the indoor season approaches championship meets.
The Knights were highlighted by a top-six finish in the sprints along with solid performances across the middle-distance and field events.
HOW IT HAPPENED – TRACK EVENTS
-Sadie Nugent placed sixth in the 60 meter dash final with a time of 7.95.
-Nugent also competed in the 200 meters, finishing with a time of 26.23 which sets a new school records.
-Paige Agnew qualified for MAC Championships in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.35.
-Jackie Engler led Arcadia in the 800 meters with a time of 2:28.27, while Gianna Sube followed in 2:38.40.
-Grace Curnow posted a 1:04.05 performance in the 400 meters.
-In the 3000 meters, Maren Weaver recorded a time of 11:05.55.
-The 4x400 meter relay team turned in a third-place finish with a time of 4:23.57.
HOW IT HAPPENED – FIELD EVENTS
-Donya Baxter led the Knights in shot put with a throw of 11.26 meters.
-Baxter also recorded a 12.98 meter mark in the weight throw.
-Ella Henritzy recorded a MAC-qualifying throw in shot put, measuring 10.17 meters.

The Knights will look to build on these performances as they prepare for the championship portion of the indoor season next weekend at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships.
