SCRANTON, Pa. - A seven-run top of the sixth broke a 3-3 tie as the Arcadia University baseball team opened the 2026 season with an 11-3 win at Scranton in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia opened the scoring in the top of the third on a
Chris Quick single to left that scored
Max Oswald.Â
-The Knights increased the lead to 3-0 in the top of the fifth on a two-run homer from
Nick Yedman that brought home Quick.
-Scranton crossed the plate three times in the bottom of the fifth to tie the score.
-Arcadia scored seven times in the sixth on six hits and one error.
-Quick finished the scoring in the top of the ninth with a double to left-center plating
Thomas Strauch.
-
Gavin Kincs earned the win on the mound, pitching two scoreless innings of relief.
