NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday, and Arcadia University men's wrestling standout Logan Flynn was named MAC Wrestler of the Week following an outstanding performance this past weekend.

Flynn, a graduate student from Horsham, Pa., captured a first-place finish in the heavyweight division at the 84th Pete Willson Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College. Competing against a strong national field, Flynn posted a perfect 5-0 record on the weekend, defeating two nationally ranked opponents and one regionally ranked wrestler.

Flynn dominated day one of the tournament with a pair of major decisions, opening with a 12-2 victory over Teke Nieto of Augustana College before earning a 15-2 win against Luke Chambers of Heidelberg University. He closed out the opening day by advancing to the semifinals with a fall over Troy Dyszkiewicz of Ohio Northern, the sixth-ranked wrestler in Region 4.

On day two, Flynn continued his impressive run by defeating 12th-ranked Steven Marra of the University of Mount Union by an 8-4 decision in the semifinals. In the championship bout, Flynn capped off the weekend with a hard-fought 5-3 decision over ninth-ranked Sloan Welch of the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire to claim the heavyweight title.

Flynn currently holds a national ranking of fourth at 285 pounds.
