MADISON, N.J. - Peter Trendafilov's third inning grand slam lifted the Arcadia Baseball team to an 8-3 game one win in its Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader at FDU-Florham on Saturday, dropping game two in a 10-9 walk-off.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia moved to 4-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
-FDU-Florham stands at 9-6 and 1-2, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 8, FDU-FLORHAM 3
-FDU-Florham opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with a run.
-Trendafilov gave the Knights the lead in the bottom of the third with a bases-loaded home run, bringing home
Max Oswald,
Joshua Agriesti, and
Thomas Strauch.

Eric Shandler came home later in the inning on a passed ball to increase the lead to 5-1.
-
Kevin Wheeler, Agriesti, and
Solomon Abdullah each had RBI's in the top of the fifth to push the advantage to 8-1.
-FDU-Florham scored twice in the sixth to finish the scoring.
-
Gavin Kincs earned the win, allowing two runs on three hits across 3.1 innings with one walk and two strikeouts.

GAME TWO: ARCADIA 9, FDU-FLORHAM 10
-Agriesti got Arcadia on the board with an RBI single in the top of the first that scored Wheeler.
-The Devils took the lead with one run in the first and two in the third.
-Strauch plated Agriesti in the top of the fourth with a sacrifice fly while Radigan tied the score in the to of the fifth with a single to center that brought home Shandler.
-FDU-Florham crossed the plate three times in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead.
-The Knights plated four run sin the top of the seventh to retake the lead at 7-6.
-After the Devils retook an 8-7 lead in the bottom of the seventh, Pustilnik and Oswald brought runs home in the top of the eighth as Arcadia went in front 9-8 in the top of the eighth.
-FDU-Florham tied the score in the bottom of the eighth, and the winning run crossed the plate in the bottom of the ninth.
