HOW IT HAPPENED
• Wilkes won the opening draw and quickly fired a shot that was blocked by Phoebe Roberts. Chloe Makinson recorded Arcadia's first shot of the game, but it was turned aside to keep the score even early.
• Miller was called upon to make back-to-back saves, and Rheya Zemlak added a key blocked shot to help keep Wilkes off the board in the opening minutes.
• Four minutes into the game, Arcadia was called for too many players on the ice. The Knights successfully killed the penalty, with Miller making three saves during the sequence.
• With four minutes remaining in the first period, Roberts had a shot blocked in the offensive zone, leading to a Wilkes odd-man rush the other way. The Colonels capitalized on the opportunity to take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
• Just 43 seconds into the second period, Wilkes doubled its lead. After winning the ensuing faceoff, Wilkes generated another scoring chance and extended the advantage to 3-0.
