DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Arcadia University baseball team scored a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) doubleheader sweep at Delaware Valley, taking game one 9-3 before securing a 7-4 victory in game two on Saturday.
FOR THE RECORD
-Arcadia improved to 21-11 overall and 13-5 in conference play.
-Delaware Valley fell to 14-21 and 5-13.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: ARCADIA 9, DELAWARE VALLEY 3
-Delaware Valley got on the board in the bottom of the first with a solo home run.
-Arcadia took the lead in the top of the second on a two-run single to center from
Hunter Dicarlantonio scoring
Noah Stennett and
Will Childs followed by a single from
Solomon Abdullah plating
Eric Shandler.Â
-Delaware Valley cut the lead to 4-3 in the bottom of the third with a two-run single.
-
Max Oswald brought home
Kevin Wheeler with a single in the bottom of the fourth and came around to score later in the inning when Stennett tripled to left.

Taro Pustilnik and Shandler finished the scoring in the top of the seventh with RBI doubles.
-
Will Buchan earned his third win, allowing three runs in a complete-game effort, striking out four.

-Delaware Valley opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with two runs.

Ryan Radigan and Wheeler leveled the score in the top of the second with RBI singles.Â
-Wheeler increased the lead to 4-2 in the top of the fourth with a two-run double scoring Shandler and Radigan.
Shandler finished the scoring for the Knights with an run-scoring single in the fifth and a two-run homer in the top of the seventh.
