GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University women's soccer team is primed for a rise in the standings as the 2026 season kicks off, the 24th of head coach
Rick Brownell's tenure with the Knights.
Arcadia finished the 2025 season with an 11-4-3 record, securing the No. 4 seed in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Tournament.
Up front, the Knights return
Sadie Nugent, who was named Second Team All-Region IV by the United Soccer Coaches, and First Team All-MAC Freedom as well as the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year. Returners up front with Nugent include
Payton Lindsay,
Ciara Garrett,
Mia Palumbo,
Ella Longacre,
Olivia Gehman, and
Julia Ostroff. First-year
Vera Downey will join the group, looking to break through in her initial term.
In the middle, Arcadia returns
Anju George,
Payton Salt,
Kaelin Mayo,
Gianna Palko,
Natasha Muzechenko,
Leila Devera, and
Bela Baldovin return while newcomers
Ashley Varon,
Olivia Hornsby,
Charli Aumiller,
Kaila Riney,
Miley Barrett,
Mia Casey,
Julia Schuster, and
Charlotte Anderson will battle for time as first-years,
On the backline, sophomores
Abbi Klopchin and
Juliette Salvi made an impact in year one while returners
Bella Vallone,
Emerson Schoener,
Caroline Stokes,
Jada Milligan, and
Azariah Giddings, along with first-years
Kylie Tocco,
Isabella DiMattia,
Victoria Goad,
Brooke Sledge, and
Makaela Nash will aim to lock down the opposing teams.
In goal, returners
Ella Walsh and Addyson Ohnmeiss, along with first-years
Chelsea Coburn and
Olivia Petty will look to take on the role after four-year starter
Abby Fuchs graduated and joined the coaching staff.
The Knights, who were picked to finish third in the MAC Freedom Preseason Coaches Poll, open the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1st against Alvernia at Jean Lenox West Field. MAC Freedom play kicks off October 3rd when they host Marywood, while the MAC Freedom Tournament is scheduled to commence November 2nd with the play-in game.
