GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University men's tennis team earned its first victory of the 2026-27 season on Friday afternoon, defeating Rowan College of Gloucester County, 6-1, at Weiss Courts. The Knights improve to 1-1 on the season, while Rowan College of Gloucester County falls to 0-1.

Arcadia opened the match by taking two of three doubles contests to secure the doubles point.

Bernardo Figueiredo and Kevin McHale earned a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Luis Figueiredo and Aaron Allen also posted a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.

Rowan College of Gloucester County claimed No. 3 doubles, with Zach Turbik and Will Minchin defeating Jason Small and Denim Horsford, 6-2.

The Knights carried their momentum into singles play, winning five of six matches.

Figueiredo picked up his second win of the afternoon at No. 1 singles, defeating Lucius Davis, 6-1, 6-2.

Kevin McHale earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles, while Luis Figueiredo cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles.

Stas Bazarov added a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles.

Kajuan Haughton battled back after dropping the opening set at No. 6 singles, defeating Will Minchin, 4-6, 6-0, 11-9, in a super tiebreaker.

Rowan College of Gloucester County earned its lone singles point at No. 2, where Maddox Effcis defeated Aaron Allen, 6-2, 6-1.
