GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's tennis team earned its second consecutive victory Friday afternoon, defeating Neumann University, 5-2, at Weiss Courts. The Knights improve to 2-1 on the season, while the Knights of Neumann fall to 1-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Arcadia opened the match by taking all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point.

Jada Young and Jessie Friel earned a dominant 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Nicole Scannapieco and Michelle Planita battled to a 7-6 (8-6) victory at No. 2 doubles.

Kaylee Higgins and Nayah Johnson earned the win at No. 3 doubles by forfeit.

The Knights carried their momentum into singles play, winning four of the six matches.

Young earned her second victory of the afternoon at No. 1 singles, blanking Juliet Schilling, 6-0, 6-0.

Friel picked up a hard-fought win at No. 4 singles, defeating Lyndsie Crawford, 6-1, 7-6 (7-0).

Planita added a straight-set victory at No. 5 singles, defeating Breonna Foster, 6-1, 6-1.

Johnson earned the win at No. 6 singles by forfeit.

Neumann earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.
