HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's soccer team battled Haverford College to a 0-0 draw Friday evening. The Knights (1-0-1) and Fords (1-0-1) each recorded 12 shots in the evenly matched contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights wasted little time applying pressure, recording three shots within the opening 10 minutes.
- Arcadia held a 7-6 advantage in shots during the opening half, but neither team was able to break through as the match remained scoreless at halftime.
- The Knights continued to pressure the Haverford defense early in the second half, as Sadie Nugent forced the goalkeeper to make a save in the 51st minute.
- Just two minutes later, Mia Casey tested the Haverford goalkeeper with another shot, but the attempt was saved again to keep the match scoreless.
- Nugent nearly found the back of the net again in the 64th minute when Charlotte Anderson found her cutting toward the goal, but her shot narrowly missed wide.
- Neither team was able to find a late breakthrough as the Knights and Fords played to a scoreless draw.
