August 26, 2011 - Arcadia Class of 2015 Move-In-Day
In an annual tradition, Arcadia's fall sports team to include field hockey, men's soccer, women's soccer, and women's volleyball as well as women's basketball welcomed Arcadia's first year students by providing them and their families assistance in unpacking their cars and carrying items into their residence halls.
September 12, 2011 - Free Field Hockey Clinic
The Field Hockey team hosted the Bishop McDevitt High School field hockey team for a free skills clinic. Students from Bishop McDevitt received skill instruction, participated in drills and learned offensive and defensive sets. This was the third consecutive year the Knights hosted Bishop McDevitt on campus.
September 17, 2011 - Glenside Street Fair
Men's and Women's Basketball and Men's Lacrosse hosted sport games and contests for children in the Glenside community, strengthening Arcadia's relationship within the Downtown Glenside Community Partnership (DGCP).
October, 2011 - Baseball Makes Donation to Youth Program & Plays Host to Two Travel Teams
The Baseball team donated 40 pairs of baseball uniform pants and a dozen metal and wooden bats to the ENON Taberncle Baptist Church youth baseball program. The team also volunteered their time in prepping their playing field as they prepared to host two travel teams for a fall competition.
October 2, 2011 - Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Run - Read More
Women's Basketball and Softball joined the fight against breast cancer by participating in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" 5K Run at Memorial Hall in West Fairmount Park. The teams raised over $300 by selling wristbands to family, friends and peers. All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society

Women's Basketball hosted 15 girls from the surrounding Glenside community in grades 3-8 for a one-day instructional clinic at the Kuch Center. Darrick Rizzo, a nationally recognized defensive instructor, from the D Em Up basketball organization made a special appearance and put the clinic attendees through defensive drills to begin the afternoon.
November 11, 2011 - Arcadia University Empty Bowl Dinner
Members of the Men's Lacrosse team assisted the Office of Community Service by transporting hundreds of hand-crafted clay bowls to the Greys Tower Castle for the 18th Annual Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner. It was a huge success with ticket sales, donations, and after dinner bowl sales totalling $11,760 - the largest amount raised through Empty Bowl since its founding here at Arcadia 18 years ago. Proceeds were split between Interfaith Hospitality Network and Heifer International.

Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse served local runners as hydration station attendants keeping marathoners from getting dehydrated on their run at the annual Philadelphia Marathon and Rothman Institute 8K. Team members filled, distributed and cleaned up refreshment cups at their station located along Boathouse Row on Kelly Drive.
November 2011 through February 2012 - Women's Basketball Water Girl Program
Women's Basketball hosted local youth girls - as aspiring college-athletes - in a water girl program throughout the 2011-12 women's basketball season. Local youth joined the team on the sidelines during starting lineup announcements and were provided the opportunity to sit on the team bench during warm-ups and games providing water to the Knight's players.
December, 2011 - Aid For Friends - Read More
Throughout early December, the Field Hockey & Women's Lacrosse teams prepared and packaged meals for Aid For Friends - a not-for-profit organization that serves needy, isolated shut-ins, primarily the frail elderly, in the 5 county greater Philadelphia Region with free, daily home-cooked meals, delivered weekly by empathic volunteer visitors. Over the past two years, the teams have prepared over 200 meals.
December, 2011 - ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church Holiday Drive
Women's Basketball, Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse teamed up to host a Holiday Drive during home basketball games throughout the month of December. The teams collected toys, food and clothing which were donated to ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church in nearby Philadelphia.

More than 150 students enjoyed a night of friends, dancing and fun in the Dome—and raised more than $500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation—at the Winter Semi-Formal organized by Arcadia's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Intramurals and Recreation. A check was presented to the foundation by SAAC President Amy Lupfer '12 during halftime of a women's basketball game.
January 15-16, 2012 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
Baseball and Men's Basketball team members volunteered their time in conjunction with Arcadia's Office of Community Service during the annual “Shredding, eWaste and Repurposing Event” in honor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. The players helped to unload donated supplies from trucks into Murphy Hall for sorting and also unloaded cars as members of the local community dropped off donated items. Athletes then sorted and packed the trucks full of usable goods for Habitat for Humanity,SPCA,Cradle to Crayons and St. Vincent De Paul. In addition they assisted in the shredding process of over 10 tons of paper. The teams volunteer annually in this 2 day University-sponsored event.

Women's Basketball raised both awareness and funds for the St. Baldrick's Pediatric Cancer Foundation by hosting their first-annual Day for David, in honor of a very brave 10 year old boy, David Heard, who lost his battle with Neuroblastoma on Feb. 10, 2011. David's mother Susan spoke at halftime on behalf of the St. Baldrick's Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
February, 2012 - Care Packages for the Troops
Field Hockey and Women's Lacrosse sold "Support Our Troops" tee-shirts raising money to purchase items to fill care packages for our Armed Forces serving overseas. Sargent Major James Ditchey, father of field hockey junior Ashley Ditchey, will be distributing the care packages to the 109th Infantry this summer at a location to be determined.
March 2012 - Free Women's Lacrosse Clinic

Members of all athletic teams led the special athletes in athletic activities comprised of basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball and relay races. Arcadia's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) made a $500 contribution to MCRSA during the event.
April, 2012 - Starfinder Soccer Academy College Day ProgramMembers of the Men's Soccer team volunteered their time to provide skill instruction to local youth through the not-for-profit Starfinder Soccer Academy which is located in nearby Manayunk.
April 1, 2012 - Free Baseball Youth Clinic - Read MoreThe team hosted a three-hour clinic with the ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church participants ranging in age from 7 through 14. The young players interacted with Arcadia's Division III student-athletes and got to experience a college-level practice session while Arcadia’s players were able to give back to their local community at the same time seeing how providing instruction can benefit their own personal growth as players.
April 14, 2012 - MAC Attack on Hunger The Arcadia University Sports Medicine Department in conjunction with the Middle Atlantic Conference initiative, collected non-perishable food items and monetary contributions on Saturday April 14 during Arcadia's home baseball, men's and women's lacrosse and tennis games. All items were donated to The Community Cupboard in Amber, Pa.
May, 2012 - Free Women's Soccer Youth Clinic - Read MoreWomen's Soccer hosted over 80 local girls from the ENON Tabernacle Baptist Church youth program for a one-day soccer clinic at Erny Field. Sixteen players and coaches from Arcadia ran two one-hour sessions, with the first hour featuring the 4-6 and 7-9 year old age groups, while the 10-11s and 12-16s participated in the second hour. The clinics were heavily focused on being fun, while still bringing functional training into the experience.
May, 2012 - American Heart Association Women's Lacrosse raised money through the sale of tee-shirts to make a donation to the American Heart Association.
