Mark Peterson

Mark Peterson is entering his first season on the Arcadia Baseball coaching staff. Coach Peterson will be responsible for the pitching staff, as well as, assisting with recruiting. Prior to joining Arcadia’s staff, Peterson worked as a Scout and Field Manager with Perfect Game USA in Florida. Coach Peterson’s primarily responsibilities were to evaluate and rank players that he saw play through Perfect Game.

From 2007 to 2010, Peterson played college baseball at three different institutions. Out of high school he accepted a scholarship to pitch at Florida State University, a Division I school in Tallahassee, Florida.  After Tommy John surgery, he had a Medical Redshirt season during his first year at FSU. Following his second year at FSU, Peterson transferred to Indian River State College, in Fort Pierce, Florida. For his final year of his college career, Peterson joined the Knights at University of Central Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2011. 

Peterson attended Lincoln Park High School in Fort Pierce, Florida. While there, he was a member of the LPA Greyhound Varsity Baseball team, capturing the District title during his Junior year.  He was also a member of the All-American Prospects Team, and helped the team win the Championship at the World Wood Bat Tournament in East Cobb two years in a row. 

Peterson was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays out of high school in 2007. 

Coach Peterson currently resides in Glenside, PA. He graduated from the University of Central Florida.
