Will Kaufman

Will Kaufman is entering his first season as an assistant baseball coach at Arcadia University in 2016, where he will work primarily with the hitters and catchers, and assistant with recruiting.
 
Kaufman arrives in Glenside after serving as an assistant coach at Birmingham-Southern College in the fall of 2015, where he worked with the team’s catchers, ran prospect camps and assisted with all aspects of recruiting. The Panthers were 37-12-1 in 2015, and finished the season ranked 10th in the nation after being ranked as high as fourth in the country on multiple occasions.
 
A four-year starter at NCAA Division II California University of Pennsylvania, Kaufman appeared in 121 games behind the plate for the Vulcans. He posted a career .240 batting average and .985 fielding percentage, was a three-time All-Academic Team selection, and holds the record for career throw out percentage and caught stealing. Kaufman had career-best totals in doubles (6), homeruns (6), RBI (15), runs scored (14) and slugging percentage (.523) as a senior. Cal U had a winning record in each of his four seasons, including a 35-18 mark in 2013.
 
Kaufman earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from California in 2013 before completing his master’s in sport management from Cal in 2015. After completing his undergraduate studies, Kaufman spent two seasons as an assistant groundskeeper and operations assistant for the Salem Red Sox, a Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Boston Red Sox in the Carolina League.
