Regan Sammons '23 enters her first season as the head coach of the Arcadia field hockey team in 2025.
Sammons brings continuity to the program, having served as the first-ever full time field hockey assistant coach at Arcadia during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. During her time as an assistant, Sammons helped guide the team to a semifinal appearance in 2023 and a championship game in 2024. Under her leadership, Arcadia saw individual success as well, with three players earning All-Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) honors in 2023 and four more recognized in 2024, including standoutÂ
Morganne Dee, who was named the conference's Co-Offensive Player of the Year.
Before joining the coaching ranks, Sammons was a decorated field hockey student-athlete for the Knights. In her senior season, she earned Second Team All-Region IV honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA), was named First Team All-MAC Freedom, and was recognized on the Academic All-MAC team. Her name is etched throughout the Arcadia record books as she holds the program record for points in a game (9), ranks fourth in career goals (31), fifth in career points (72), and is tied for 10th in game-winning goals (5).
Sammons graduated from Arcadia in 2023 with a degree in psychology.
