Jared Lewis enters his third season as the full-time assistant men's and women's track & field/cross country coach in 2020-21. Lewis specializes in sprinting and jumping events for the Knights.

The Knights competed in its inaugural outdoor track & field season in 2021. Lewis oversaw seven individual qualifiers, who met conference standards in a combined 13 events. Lewis coached jumpers Myles Sams and Mackenzie Nocchi to podium finishes at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Sams became the first men's track & field athlete to reach the podium with a fifth place finish in the long jump, while Nocchi marked the first female outdoor podium finish with a sixth place effort in the high jump.

In the program's first showing at the MAC Championships, the men's 4x200 relay team earned the program's first-ever points at the conference meet with a sixth-place finish before Asya Alba became the first in the women's program history to produce a podium finish with a seventh-place effort in the 60 meter dash.

In 2019, Lewis also played a role in the growth of the cross country program. The men's team posted its best-ever finishes at both the MAC Championships (10th) and the NCAA Mideast Regionals (35th). Chris Reistle became the Knights' second-ever All-MAC honoree in program history with with third-team honors following the conference meet, while also setting new 8K and 5K records during the season. On the women's side, the Knights raced to an 11th-place finish at the 2019 MAC Championships before capping the season with a 36th-place finish at the NCAA Mideast Regionals. Veronica Pontis set new program records in both the 6K and 5K events over the course of the season.

A two-time National Champion in the triple jump, Lewis captured both national titles during the indoor season at Stockton University. He closed his prolific career with the Ospreys as a nine-time NCAA All-American (7x triple jump, 2x long jump) and 11-time individual champion (6x triple jump, 5x long jump) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships.

A native of New Jersey, Lewis claimed his first national championship in the triple jump as a junior with a mark of 15.05 meters (49-4.5 feet). He later set his personal best at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a distance of 15.52 meters (50-11.0 feet), which placed him second at the national meet. During the 2018 indoor season, Lewis defended his national title with a leap of 15.28 meters (50-1.75 feet). He then closed his career at the NCAA Outdoor Championships by finishing fifth in the triple jump at the national meet.

Before joining Arcadia, Lewis served as a graduate assistant for the men's and women's cross country and track & field teams at the California University of Pennsylvania - where he achieved his master’s degree in sport management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Stockton in 2018.
