Gregory Budd

Greg Budd finished his second season on staff as an assistant coach for the Arcadia Knights lacrosse program in 2020.

In his first season, Budd ran the substitution box and assisted with a defense that improved in most statistical categories. The Scarlet & Grey set numerous school records including the most wins in program history (9) and also qualified for the conference playoffs for the first time in program history. Budd also helped coach and develop four all-conference selections, the largest haul in program history. Short-stick defender Josh Keitz was named to the IMCLA All-Region team, becoming the first in program history to be selected.

The Knights 2020 season was cut short due to the MAC's cancellation of spring sports, but the Knights got off to a torrid start with five wins in their first seven games - three of which they scored 20 or more goals, while holding opponents to just 9.4 goals per game.

In addition to coaching, Budd also assists with many of the day-to-day operations of the lacrosse program.

Budd arrived in Glenside after working the two years in the private sector. While working, Budd was also an assistant coach at Kennett High School in Kennett Square, Pa.

A four-year member of the Susquehanna University lacrosse program, Budd played in 62 games as a defensive midfielder and put up 18 goals and four assists. In his first two seasons, Budd helped lead the team to two Landmark Conference Championships and two NCAA tournament appearances, both of which were program firsts. During Budd’s senior campaign, he was named a team captain.

Budd, a native of Kinnelon, N.J., graduated from Susquehanna in 2016 with a B.S. in economics.
