High School: 2014 graduate of Hackensack High School… Was coached by Scott Davis as a member of the swimming team… Earned First-Team All-League honors… Was named Team MVP.
 
Personal: Son of Jo Ellen and William Tieleman… Has two brothers, Erik and Matthew… His brother, Eric, attends New Jersey Institute of Technology.
