Adam Hamad

Adam Hamad enters his third season as the Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Arcadia in 2025.

Hamad has led the Knights to the MAC Tournament in both seasons at th e helm of the program.

In 2024, Hamad led the team to an upset of the No. 4 team in the country. In 2023, the Knights upset both the No. 8 and No. 15 teams.
 
Hamad came to Glenside after most serving as the Assistant Men’s Volleyball Coach at the University of Charleston in Charleston, W.V. In that role, Hamad assisted in recruiting, monitored academic progress, set up a shared system to include film, notes, and stats, planned and organized practice, and served as an interim head coach. While with the Golden Eagles, Hamad coached five All-Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) selections, including the first honoree in program history. In addition, Hamad mentored a player who signed to play professionally overseas.
 
Prior to his time at Charleston, Hamad served as an assistant at the University of Mount Union and the men’s and women’s assistant at Hiram College, where he assisted in practice planning, worked with student-athletes regarding mental health skills, and helped implement team organization updates during COVID-19. While with the Purple Raiders and Terriers, Hamad mentored nine All-Conference selections as well as multiple players that finished at the top of the national rankings in their respective statistics.
 
Hamad also has experience at the club and high school level, spending two seasons as the Head Coach at Tallmadge High School, and one season as the 12U Head Coach at Everest Volleyball Club. While at Tallmadge, Hamad coached the team to two Hilltopper Invitational Championships and a runner-up finish in Division II District Three in 2016. At Everest, Hamad’s team finished second in the Ohio Valley Region Tournament for USA Volleyball and led the team to three top-three finishes in tournaments.
 
Hamad graduated from the University of Akron in 2013 with a degree in Political Science, and earned his Master’s from Hiram in 2020.
