The Arcadia University Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced the hiring of Emily Poole as the new Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach. Poole will begin her duties at Arcadia on May 2nd.
"It's an absolute honor to be able to coach at Arcadia for two programs with a strong history of success on the court and in the classroom,” Poole said. “I would like to thank Nikki Binetti, Eli Porr, Brett Mariani and Brian Granata for believing in my abilities to assist in continuing these programs' success."
Poole comes to Glenside after serving as the Women’s Volleyball Graduate Assistant at Lehigh University for the last two seasons. In that position, Poole assisted in planning and running of all practices and training, coordinated travel, food, and hotel accommodations, assisted in recruiting, student-athletes, managing and promoting prospect camps, maintained relationships with club directors, and created and managed content for team social media accounts.
Prior to her collegiate coaching career, Poole gained experience as a Summer Program Assistant Director at Spooky Nook Sports and as an Assistant Coach with East Coast Power Volleyball.
Poole was a four-year member of Lehigh’s women’s volleyball program, earning Second Team All-Patriot League honors in 2018 and the Outstanding Athlete Award in 2018-19. Poole also excelled in the classroom, being named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2016, 2018, and 2019. Poole graduated from Lehigh in 2020 with a degree in International Relations, and earned her Master’s in Environmental Policy and Design from Lehigh in 2022.
