Amanda Hess is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Arcadia field hockey and softball program in 2018-19.
Hess was a member of the Arcadia softball team, playing third base from 2015-2018.
On the softball diamond, Hess was named to the MAC Sportsmanship team in 2018, and garnered Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors in 2017. Hess also earned Honorable Mention All-MAC Commonwealth honors in 2016, and was named Arcadia’s female rookie of the year in 2015.
During her playing career, she totaled 146 hits including 34 doubles, for 66 RBIs and a .485 slugging percentage. Defensively, she tallied 112 putouts and 213 assists for a .905 fielding percentage.
Hess earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Special Education in from Arcadia in 2018.
