Former NCAA Division II All-American Amanda (Roosa) Rote is entering her third season as assistant softball coach at Arcadia University in 2016.
Rote was a three-year captain while at Lock Haven, and had her most decorated season in 2008 as she was named a Second-Team NFCA All-American after being named the PSAC West Player of the Year and a First-Team NFCA All-Region selection. She batted .352 that season with 64 hits, 11 doubles, 13 homers, 61 RBI and 33 runs scored.
Rote earned her bachelor’s degree in recreation management from Lock Haven in 2009 before completing the physical therapy assistant program at Harcum College in 2014. She has worked in a variety of areas of the health and fitness industry since graduating from Lock Haven, including nutrition, personal training and group program instruction, and is currently works as a physical therapy assistant.
