Linda Detra is beginning her 21st year as Head Coach of the Arcadia softball program. Her 400+ victories are the most ever in the history of the school, and currently rank her in the top 50 NCAA Winningest Active Coaches by victories. During her 20 years as Head Coach, Linda has produced three All-Americans, eight Regional All-Americans, and numerous All Conference Players and NFCA Academic All Americans.
Linda was chosen as Coach of the Year three times, and led Arcadia to the 2011 championship game in the Commonwealth Conference. Linda received her B.S. from Lock Haven University, and her M.S. from the University of Florida.
While at Lock Haven, Linda competed in field hockey, basketball, and softball for four years, and was selected as a Regional All American. Upon graduation, Linda received the prestigious Golden Whistle Award, given to the outstanding graduate in the College of Health and Physical Education. In addition to numerous NCAA competitions, Linda has traveled to softball tournaments in several World Cups and three Summer Olympic Games.
