Lexie Gerson

Lexie Gerson enters her second season as assistant coach for the women's basketball team. 

Gerson came to Arcadia after two years of professional playing experience in Israel. She played her rookie season for Elitzur Ramla during the 2014-15 season, finishing as the first runner-up in the league championship. In 2015-16 she played for ASA Jerusalem. The Jenkintown native began her coaching career this summer as the head coach for the Philadelphia Belles of the Amateur Athletic Union.
 
Gerson was a member of the women’s basketball team at the University of Virginia from 2009-2014. Over the course of her career, Gerson helped her teams to the 2010 NCAA Tournament and two WNIT Elite Eight appearances. She was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Team twice (2012, 2014).
 
Gerson graduated from Virginia with her bachelor’s degree in women’s and gender studies in May 2013 and her Master of Education in higher education administration with a concentration in intercollegiate athletics administration in May 2014. She was named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic Team.
