Rylee Derr enters her third season with the women's basketball program in 2025-26.
In her first season, Derr helped lead the program to its first-ever conference championship game and a new record for wins.
Derr comes to Arcadia after spending last season as an assistant coach at Kutztown University where she helped lead the Golden Bears to a 15-15 record and a trip to the PSAC quarterfinals.
Prior to coaching, Derr enjoyed a standout career at Kutztown where she was a three- time All-PSAC East First Team selection (2019, 2020, 2022) and a 2018 All-PSAC East Second Team selection in 2018. She is the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,820 points and also holds the school record for three-point field goals made in a game (9) and a season (89) as well as the Kutztown freshman scoring record with 409 points during the 2017-18 season. Â
Derr was named WBCA NCAA Division II All-America Honorable Mention in 2021-22 after leading her team to a historic season which included setting new program records for wins (26) and conference wins (18) in a season. Kutztown won the PSAC East in 2021-22 and returned to the NCAA DII Championship tournament for the first time since 1996.
She is a four-time member of the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Media Organization Team of the Year and was named the 2021-22 Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Media Organization Player of the Year. She also received Dean’s List Honors and was a PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
Derr is a graduate of Warwick High School in Lititz, Pa. where she scored 1,551 career points and is the school’s second all-time leading scorer. She was a four-time First Team All-Lancaster-Lebanon League, Section 1 selection.
She received her undergraduate degree in elementary education and special education from Kutztown University in 2022 and also has a reading specialist certification.Â
