Veronica Pontis finished her first season on the women's soccer coaching staff in 2019.
In her first season as an assistant, the Knights made their fourth-consecutive NCAA Divison III Tournament appearance after receiving an at-large bid following a 15-win season in 2019. The Knights ranked as high as 13th in the United Soccer Coaches Top-25 and advanced to the MAC Commonwealth Championship for the fifth-straight season. The Knights had five all-conference selections at season's end, headlined by first-team picks Brianna Crowley, Brianna Williams, and Karlie Flowers - while Crowley was also named the MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year. Arcadia also had a program-record four players named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Mid Atlantic Region team with Crowley and Williams earning first-team honors while Flowers and Erin Vander Plaat received third-team recognition. Crowley and Willaims also were named Second-team All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches, marking the third and fourth such selections in program history.
Pontis appeared in 68 games throughout a stellar four-year career with the Knights. The defender was a three-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region, two-time All-ECAC and four-time All-MAC Commonwealth First-team selection. Pontis appeared in three NCAA Tournaments and helped the Knights capture their first MAC Commonwealth Championship in 2017.
