Highet set two individual program records and was a member of two program record-setting relays as the Knights had a program-best performance at the 2016 ECAC Winter Championships, where Arcadia placed sixth of 11 teams, nine of which were DI and DII programs. He placed third in the 100 Free with a program-record time of 47.31, and set the 50 Free (21.85) record while leading off the program record-setting 200 Free Relay that placed second in 1:27.07. Highet was also a member of the record-setting 200 medley relay that placed fourth in 1:38.24. Highet placed 10th in the 50 Free (21.99) and 12th in the 100 Butterfly (53.33), was a member of the fourth-place 400 Free Relay (3:14.33) and 800 Free Relay (7:13.74) and sixth-placed 400 Medley Relay (3:35.95). His 100 Free time is third-fastest in the MAC this season, while his 50 Free time is fifth. Each of the relays rank in the top-three in the MAC.
