Men's Soccer defeated by Misericordia

EDWARDSVILLE, Pa.:  Misericordia University scored two goals in each half while holding Arcadia University to one shot as the Cougars took Saturday's non-conference men's soccer game by a score of 4-0.  With the loss the Knights fall to 3-4 overall while the Cougars remain unbeaten on the season at 5-0.

Eric Kishbaugh, who scored twice, gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead at 23:30 when he slotted a ball inside the right post to beat the Knights keeper Ryan Lantzy (Pheonixville, PA/Pheonixville).  Lantzy staved off two near-goals early on, stopping Dan Pinto in the opening minute before making a diving save on Andy Bush's shot five minutes later.

Josh Pfhal came off the bench and made it 2-0 off a re-start at 32:23. The Cougars took the free kick from just outside the penalty area and Bryce Houdeshel flicked it on to Pfahl who headed it home.

Kishbaugh added another unassisted goal to make it 3-0 in the 68th minute.

Pinto ended the scoring with three minutes to play.   TJ Schaefer found Jonathan Grybos the end line and Grybos served to Pinto whose one-timer went inside the right post to seal the 4-0 Misericordia victory.

Arcadia looks to even their overall record hosting Berkeley College this Saturday, Sept. 24 at home at 1 p.m.
