Box Score Glenside, PA (October 13, 2012) - The Arcadia University Knights (8-4-3, 2-2-1), playing on historic Haber Green on Homecoming defeated the Hood College Blazers (2-11, 0-5) 4-0 this afternoon. Kim Canfield recorded a pair of goals, while Maura Quigley and CJ McDonnell also added tallies for the Knights. Arcadia returns to action Tuesday night as they host Alvernia at 7pm on Easton Field.

Nearly the entire first half was played in the Hood end of the field, but the Knights could not capitalize. At 42:19, Quigley got Arcadia on the board as she scored after the ball was headed to her by Alex Stoner in front of the net for a 1-0 Knight lead which they took into the break. Arcadia had 13 shots and four corners in the first half.

The second half started the way the first half ended, with an Arcadia goal. Just 35-seconds into the second session McDonnell took a shot from inside the box that found the back of the net for a 2-0 Knight lead. They held that lead until late in the game when Canfield took over. She scored a goal off a pass from McDonnell, beating the keeper in front of the net at 85:15. Then less than two minutes later she beat the keeper with a shot from just inside the box off a pass from Rachel Bradd for the 4-0 lead and the victory.

Arcadia finished with 21 shots and allowed just one. The Knights had 10 corner kicks in the match. Arcadia keeper Veronica Willig earns the shutout, making one save.
