Box Score Glenside, PA (October 24, 2012) - The Arcadia University Knights (10-5-3, 4-3-1) took the #2 Messiah College Falcons (15-1-1, 8-0) to double overtime tonight, falling 1-0. The two teams played nearly 106 minutes of scoreless soccer, but Alex Brandt made a move in the box and scored the game winner at 105:54. Veronica Willig made 10 saves for the Knights.

Messiah had the majority of the good opportunities throughout regulation as they outshot the Knights, 14-4 through 90 minutes and had the only three corner kicks all in the first half. In the first overtime, the Falcons had two shots to the Knights one.

In the second overtime, Messiah immediately attacked and Brandt found an opening in the box that she was able to convert into the only goal of the match. Messiah finished with a 17-5 shot advantage.

The Knights will conclude their regular season on Saturday afternoon as they host Lebanon Valley for a 1pm kick-off with a playoff berth at stake.
