Reading, PA (October 31, 2012) - The #5 Arcadia University Knights (8-7-2) had their 2012 season come to an end tonight in a 1-0 loss to the #4 Alvernia University Crusaders (11-6-3) in the first round of the Commonwealth Conference Playoffs. Alvernia scored in the 27th minute and the Crusaders held off the Knights to advance to the semifinals. Ryan Lantzy made eight saves for Arcadia.

At the 26:24 mark of the first half Josh Wollaston took a pass across the box from Alex Martyn and found the back of the net in the lower left corner for the only goal of the match. The Crusaders had nine shots on goal to six for the Knights. The Crusaders had five corners to Arcadia's two in the match.

Alvernia moves on to face #1 Messiah on Friday night in Grantham, PA.
