Box Score Williamsport, PA (December 8, 2012) - The Arcadia University Knights (4-3, 2-2 MCOM) fell to the Lycoming College Warriors (7-1l 4-0 MCOM) this afternoon, 90-72. Lycoming scored the first nine points of the game, led by 12 at the break and by as many as 29 in the second half.
Aaron Lee-Webb led Arcadia with 13 points.
The Warriors jumped right out of the gate and led 9-0, then 23-6 at the 11:59 mark. THe Knights did get to within nine points in the final minute of the half, but Lycoming scored the final three points of the session to hold a 44-32 lead at the break.
Travis Saltus scored 10 points in the first half to lead Arcadia. Anthony Martin scored a game-high 19 to lead Lycoming. The Warriors shot nearly 50% from the field in the first half, while the Knights shot 38.2%. Arcadia had a 21-19 lead on the boards, but committed 11 turnovers, while forcing six.
Arcadia got to within nine points three times in the first three minutes of the second half, the last time at 51-42. Lycoming then went on a 20-2 run that took five minutes off the clock and gave the Warriors a 71-44 lead with 11:05 to play. Arcadia ended the game on a 10-2 run to make the final margin 18 points.
Webb was 4-8 from the field with four rebounds and five assists. Saltus and
Joe Brown each added 12 points. Martin finished with 28 points to lead Lycoming. The Warriors shot 54% from the field and held the KNights to 35%. The rebounding battle was tied at 43.
Arcadia will return to action on Wednesday as they host Widener at 8pm in Alumni Gym.
