Pippert Cards Season High for Arcadia Golf at Rolling Green

SPRINGFIELD Twp., PA:  The Arcadia Golf Team played at Rolling Green Country Club, in a match hosted by Swarthmore College Monday afternoon. Collin Pippert '15 produced his best performance of the season to lead the  Knights on the most challenging course the squad has faced this season.

The Par 70 course  was in excellent shape and had already been considered one of the tougher courses in the region with sweeping, tall tree-lined hills and narrow fairways. Add to that, gusts of 40+ mph winds and lightning fast greens with some of the  toughest pin-placements found anywhere, made for some very interesting, yet challenging scores.

Rising to the challenge,  Pippert had arguably his best performance of the year, shooting an 86. Pippert equaled his best efforts to date with conditions that saw many players scratching their heads in frustration.  The first year has worked diligently on his game this spring and his efforts certainly came through on Monday.

In addition to Pippert's team high, Shannon Massott '14 shot a 101, Corey Cedermark '13 rang in with a 103, and Daniel Schiffert '15 shot a 106 through the single round of play.

Ursinus College's Chris McCann carded a match low 77 to lead his Bears to a first place finish (335).  Richard Stockton's Club team placed second (345), Penn State Abington third (354), with Neumann University (357), Swarthmore B Squad (360) and Arcadia (396) rounding fourth through sixth place respectively.

The Knights  looks toward their next match this Wednesday, April 11, as they take on host Widener University at Springford Country Club, in Royersford PA.
