GLENSIDE, PA (August 29, 2012) - Members of the Arcadia University community, including alumni are invited to three individual ribbon cutting ceremonies for the inauguration of the newly turfed and lit Easton Field which will kick off the Fall 2012 sports season. Just today, the University announced the promotional schedule for giveaways at each contest.
The Field Hockey team will host Richard Stockton College in what will be the inaugural NCAA contest to be played on Arcadia's first artificial turf surface on Friday, August 31. Men's Soccer hosts Swarthmore College on Wednesday, Sept. 5 while Women's Soccer plays host to Neumann University on Thursday, Sept. 6. All contests begin at 7 p.m. preceeded by ribbon cutting ceremonies which begin at 6:45 p.m.

Free hot dogs and drinks to all AU alumni, faculty, staff and students starting at 6:30 p.m.;
First 200 AU students in attendance will receive a free Knight doll;
Special ribbon-cutting ceremony on the field at 6:45 p.m.
Half-time drawing where 3 lucky fans will win an AU prize pack filled with great gifts;
Half-time shooting competition where the winner will receive an AU prize pack filled with great gifts;
Men's Soccer - Wed., Sept., 5
Free hot dogs and drinks to all AU alumni, faculty, staff and students starting at 6:30 p.m.;
First 100 AU students in attendance will receive a free Frisbee;
Special ribbon-cutting ceremony on the field at 6:45 p.m.;
Half-time drawing where 3 lucky fans will win an AU prize pack filled with great gifts
Half-time shooting competition where the winner will receive an AU prize pack filled with great gifts;
Women's Soccer - Thurs., Sept., 6
Free hot dogs and drinks to all AU alumni, faculty, staff and students starting at 6:30 p.m.;
First 100 AU students in attendance will receive a free drawstring backpack;
Special ribbon-cutting ceremony on the field at 6:45 p.m.;
Half-time drawing where three lucky fans will win an AU prize pack filled with great gifts;
Half-time shooting competition where the winner will receive an AU prize pack filled with great gifts;
The Field Hockey, Men's Soccer and Women's Soccer teams would like to extend a special invitation to their alumni players to join the current team in what is sure to be a spectacular evening of celebration and competition. Ribbon cutting ceremonies for each contest will begin at 6:45 p.m. All three contests are non-conference games and will be played under the new lights with a 7 p.m. start time.
Two separate ribbon cutting ceremonies are being planned for the Spring 2013 semester when Men's and Women's Lacrosse open their respective season.
