DOYLESTOWN, PA (September 19, 2012) - The Arcadia University Men's Golf team had a team record-setting day during their match today shooting a combined 320 team score versus Delaware Valley College at 5-Ponds Golf Course in Warminster, PA.
The Arcadia Knights, represented by Dave Behler (74),
Bobby Santiago (77),
Colin Pippert (80),
Tate Olson (89) and
Randall Smedley (89) more than shattered the previous team best score of last year (345) by 25 strokes. Coach Brownell was thrilled with the team's efforts. "We have some new players that are mixing in so well with last year's returners. Their bringing a competitive edge to a team that was already training and playing better than ever." Coach Brownell also credits new Assistant Golf Coach P.J. Solley, "P.J. has made an immediate and positive impact on the team... he's an excellent player himself, teaches the game on a very high-level, and has a calming presence that instills confidence in the players. We're very lucky to have him on our staff."
The Arcadia Men's Golf Team looks to carry this momentum into next week's tournament on Monday 9/24, as the knights head out to Rock Manor C.C.to play in Swarthmore's Fall Invitational.
